Despite the innovative design and marketing concept, the technology behind the DS3 E-Tense is pretty standard. The car uses a lithium-ion battery pack with 54 kWh capacity and 400 V architecture. The DS3 E-Tense can be charged through AC or DC chargers at 11 or 100 kW. Charging the battery fully on AC would take over 5 hours, but charging it to 80% on a fast charger will take less than 30 minutes. The DS3 E-Tense is only delivered with front-wheel-drive, but we are sure Citroen will soon offer an all-wheel-drive version with better performance.
