Do I need a different cable for each country in Europe?
No. Type 2 is the standard for AC charging across the entire EU, UK, and EFTA region, and CCS Combo 2 is the standard for DC fast charging. One Type 2 cable in your boot covers every public AC charger from Portugal to Finland. The only thing you might need to add is a portable EVSE with country-specific plug adapters if you plan to charge at campsites, hotels, or holiday rentals using regular wall sockets.
