Dacia EV Background

Renault took the page out of Volkswagen's book and did the same thing with Dacia as the German brand did with Skoda in the early 90s. Dacia was an obscure Romanian car company, but Renault's technology and investment transformed it into one of the key players in Europe's economy car market and one of the rare companies whose market share is growing. Dacia might be a budget car brand with modest technical aspects, but its price and dependability made it a valued member of Renault company. Even though the EV revolution started with expensive and advanced vehicles, the trend will continue with small and affordable models, which is precisely where Dacia's strength is. At the moment, this is Europe's cheapest EV model with solid sales figures, which is precisely why we at Voldt pay so much attention and have readily developed charging cable solutions for this brand.

Dacia EV Models

Despite the relatively small range of Dacia models, there was a niche for an affordable EV, which was filled by the Dacia Spring, a compact crossover. This model, heavily based on the Renault Kwid and corporate CMFA-EV platform, was introduced in 2021 and has since undergone two refreshes, both in design and technology, to keep it relevant by current market standards. The 2024 model boasts modern looks, cutting-edge technology, and a price tag that makes it a compelling choice for any type of customer. Its advanced technology and strong market position guarantee strong sales, and Voldt's support in the form of advanced charging cable solutions is to be expected.

Dacia EV Technology

Since the Dacia Spring Electric is an entry-level electric vehicle, you cannot expect too much in battery capacity or range. However, this urban crossover still delivers pretty compelling specs. The Spring Electric is powered by a 25 kWh battery pack, which translates to a 45 hp single electric motor and front wheel drive. This layout is clearly designed to achieve a more extended range (up to 165 km) but reduce performance. A small lithium-ion battery means slower charging times, and Dacia Spring needs about four and a half hours to charge from 0 to 100% using an AC charger at a rate of 6.6 kW. When connected to a fast-charging DC charger, it can charge from 20 to 80% battery in 38 minutes at a maximum of 34 kW. We at Voldt are sure we can slightly reduce those times using our premium charging cables. Shuko and Commando sockets are available.

Voldt's EV Charging Innovation For Dacia

Voldt's charging cables are crafted in Europe using top-notch Italian materials, making them tougher and more reliable than other options. This ensures a smooth and efficient charging experience every time. The cables feature premium-grade copper wiring, making them more flexible and resistant to right-angled bends. The plug casing is a single-piece, IP65-rated unit, making it more durable and waterproof than plugs from multiple parts. We offer a 2-year warranty, free shipping within two business days, and hassle-free returns on all our charging cables. Voldt's commitment to quality and added value makes our charging cables a perfect match for Dacia Spring Electric.
